2018 in review: Stevie Nicks
“You have to keep moving. This world will walk all ove you if you don’t just keep going.” – Stevie Nicks, 2018
January: ‘Fleetwood Mac Deluxe Edition’ is released.
June: ‘Borrowed’, a duet with LeAnn Rimws is released.
“I stopped in my tracks and sat down on the floor and started to cry. I understood what she was singing about. I understood that the pain was real… and I understood that it had happened to me. When the song ended, I called my assistant to tell her that one day, I would sing this song with LeAnn. It was our destiny.”

September: Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers’ ‘An American Treasure’ is released.
“That was a great combination of those two voices, and a really good song”, Campbell says of the original demo, recorded during the protracted ‘Southern Accents’ project, of a song that was recut for ‘Full Moon Fever’; Stevie Nicks sings on both versions. “Tom’s songs are so good you feel like you know the people speaking-they’re real and identifiable. January: Fleetwood Mac receive the prestigious MusiCares Person of the Year honor at Radio City Music Hall in New York.
“On May 26th, I’ll be 70 years old. (…) We have 90-year-old fans that are still out there, they just can’t make it to the show. So those people played our music for their babies in their cribs. And then those babies grew up and played ‘Rumours’ and ‘Tusk’ and Fleetwood Mac ‘Fleetwood Mac’ for their babies, and then those babies grew up and then those babies played it for their babies. I mean, all the babies! I watched them grow up. I watched little tiny Rhiannon and now she’s all grown up and has two kids, it’s like amazing. So the appreciation that we have to all the original 90-year-old people is amazing. (…) So anyway, I just want you to understand one thing. We don’t ever forget how amazing you are and we never don’t appreciate you.”

September: Fleetwood Mac at iHeart Radio Music Festival
“During the band’s set, Stevie showed how amazing she sounds, how gracefully she moves and how flawless she looks.
Nicks slayed on every song the band performed – “The Chain,” “Little Lies,” “Second Hand News,” “Gold Dust Woman,” and of course, their closer, the group’s classic hit, “Don’t Stop.” Her voice was full and smooth, and if it’s changed since she started out, it’s only because it’s gotten better.”
